About Me

Theresa Hissong Seid is a blogging/vlogging mama extraordinaire. With the goal of reminding moms (and herself!) that they are more than just “moms,” Theresa founded the popular blog Rock On Mommies in 2007. Managing a group of 6-8 bloggers, Theresa has grown Rock On Mommies into a reputable brand name and has worked with major companies such as Kenmore Appliances, Tropicana and Nissan USA. With a background in marketing and performing arts, Theresa has a channeled her passions for fashion, trends, crafts, and reality TV into her love of social media and the humorous vlogs she is known for. Theresa credits her past experience as an NFL Cheerleader for the Arizona Cardinals as a defining experience in her life that made her comfortable in her own skin, and her confidence and genuine excitement is evident in her all posts and vlogs.

In 2010, Theresa co-founded the community based group website the San Diego MOMfia. Within weeks of the launch the site has attracted the attention of major San Diego companies and is quickly becoming a go-to resource for people in and visiting San Diego. Theresa can be found online at www.rockonmommies.com / www.sdmomfia.com/ www.mylifeastaz.com and on Twitter as @RockonMommies.

Rock On Mommies

What is a Rock on Mommy?  A Rock on Mommy is a woman who knows how important it is for her to have her own life. She’s more than a housewife and a mother.  She’s an amazing mommy who loves her kids very much, but also understands her own needs.  A Rock on Mommy knows that being a mom is the toughest, yet most rewarding thing she will ever do in life.  She also knows that it’s nearly impossible to do alone, and that’s when she can turn to RockonMommies.com for advice, ideas, or just to chat with other women who understand.

One thing is for sure, a Rock on Mommy knows that being a mom is the toughest, yet most rewarding thing she will ever do in life.  She also knows that it’s nearly impossible to do alone, and that’s when she can turn to RockonMommies.com for advice, ideas, or just to chat with other women who understand.
Rock On Mommies is a community where even if it’s just for one-hour when her child is napping (or not!) she has a place to turn that’s just for HER, filled with stories of other women who are just like HER.

There’s a Rock on Mommy in all of us.

My Life As Taz

My Life As Taz…

So who is this Taz I speak of?  I’m not 100% sure.  I’m still try to figure that out for myself.

The name Taz is a name my husband gave me the day he met me, though I didn’t know it at the time.  Without my knowledge he took my cell phone, dialed his own phone, and saved my number as T AZ (Theresa Arizona). This way he wouldn’t forget who’s number he had just stole and his date wouldn’t figure out who’s number it was.  Oh, did I forget to mention my husband was on a date?  That’s a story for another time.

From that day forward I have been Taz.  Now I’m just trying to figure out who Taz is.  I know she’s a Mom, a Wife, Social Media Addict, Website Dork, Reality TV Show junkie, a wannabe fashionita and somewhere in there is the old me screaming to get out.  I struggle daily to remember who I was before my life exploded into babies, husband, mortgages,  home depot visits, play dates and weekend nights at home.

Who do I want Taz to be?  I want her to be it all. The perfect Mom, which will never happen.  The perfect Wife, which will never happen.  The perfect friend, which will never happen.  The perfect Professional, which will never happen.   Hey at least I’m not kidding myself.

This is my journey.  My journey to find the old me while I continue to learn how to be the new me.  Somedays are wins, somedays are big losses, and somedays are just a wash.  I love my life, even when it seems like I’m struggling to figure out how I fit into this new world.
